Al Fresco On The Hill
The Federal Hill Commerce Association is excited to host our second year of Al Fresco on the Hill. For a period of 20 weeks, every Friday and Saturday from May 14th through October 16th. Atwells Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic to host dining Al Fresco right on the Avenue. Restaurants and retailers located on the hill will have the opportunity to increase their dining or retail space onto Atwells Avenue. Al Fresco hours are 5 pm – 12 am each Friday and Saturday.
This year we are excited to feature three entertainment areas with live performances. Stages are located at DePasquale Plaza, St Johns Park, and Lucia’s Stage at 154 Atwells Avenue. Guests may also enjoy our sip and stroll by purchasing a drink at any of the restaurants and taking it to savor while strolling the Avenue.
Atwells Avenue is closed to vehicle traffic from Bradford Street to Dean Street and from Dean Street to Lily Street from 3 pm – 2 am each day. Spruce Street is made a two-way street its entire length on Friday and Saturdays only during Al Fresco on the Hill. Valet parking and Parking lots are located on all of the parallel streets to Atwells Avenue including Cedar Street.
This enjoyable European-style experience will play a vital role in the resurgence and continued operations of our restaurants and retailers on Federal Hill. We thank you for your support, patronage, and love of our “Little Italy”. Federal Hill is the heartbeat of Providence.
